About Us

Dana Voyles is the founder and president of Gardens Done Right Inc., a Crystal Lake–based landscape design and fine gardening company known for creating outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and built to thrive.

With over 23 years of landscaping experience and more than a decade leading her own team, Dana brings a hands-on, detail-driven approach to every project. She has a natural ability to combine creativity with practicality — designing spaces that not only look incredible, but perform well in Northern Illinois conditions.

Dana is a Landscape Certified Technician through the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) and an active member of NALP, Landscape Illinois, and the Digging-In Association of professional container gardeners.

Her passion for gardening started in Stone Lake, Wisconsin, and continues to shape the way she approaches every landscape — with care, creativity, and a deep respect for plant health.

At Gardens Done Right, Dana leads with collaboration, attention to detail, and a genuine love for her work. Clients appreciate not only the results, but the experience — a process that feels organized, personalized, and even a little fun along the way.

Because at Gardens Done Right, we don’t just work with dirt — we make it look good.
